MASWM Members Join Manufacturing Conference
MASWM members were on hand Feb. 7-8 at the Missouri Association of Manufacturers Trade Show and Conference in Branson Feb. 7-8
Late last year, MASWM joined a partnership to promote and sustain Missouri manufacturing and services, while providing employment and training opportunities for people with developmental disabilities.
The effort was launched by Missouri Lt. Gov. Mike Kehoe and the Buy Missouri program operated through his office. Besides MASWM, other partners include the Missouri Association of Manufacturers and the Missouri Department of Education. All agreed to collaborate in the development of policies and procedures that will to increase awareness of the capabilities of each organization, and to promote Missouri manufacturing, products and services.
The February manufacturing conference was the first major event since the agreement began. The manufacturing association offered a special display area for workshops at the event, which included manufacturers, suppliers, advanced technologies, workforce development and educators supporting and advancing the manufacturing industry.
