Best Practices Seek to Help, Improve Workshops

The MASWM Board of Directors approve in principle the attached Best Practices Document. The document features a variety of topics to include as expectations for Member Organizations, Boards, Managers, and Staff across a wide variety of areas.

The list is intended as both a guide and an assessment tool for members of MASWM.

The Board of Directors would like to present this list to all of its members and asks that each manager examine his/her organization’s policies and practices and provide a Self-Assessment to the Area Director. Please include your Boards and Staff in this process. The Assessment should include two basic components: 1) Is your shop currently meeting each standard? and 2) What are the impediments that might prevent your shop from meeting each standard?

Please direct any questions to your Area Director.

It is the goal of the Board of Directors to provide training, mentorship, examples and other assistance to members as they strive to meet each standard. Please also discuss with your Area Director any concerns that you may have regarding this document.
