Dignified and meaningful employment
for people with disabilities

In-Depth Article Looks at Workshops, Regulations

The Columbia Missourian newspaper recently published an outstanding feature article, “Sheltered workshops persevere under pressure from federal rules.”

The article not only spelled out in detail pressures from WIOA and other federal regulations, but did so against the backdrop of individual workers with disabilities and how these moves are effecting their lives—often negatively.

Probably the best thing is the generally even-handed explanations of complex issues involving personal choice, predominantly private (contract) funding and other issues that are seldom discussed outside of groups like workshop managers.
